Patricia Kuderer has over 27 years’ experience representing clients in personal injury cases, public record matters, and employment law cases. She started her career in Minnesota, where she was managing partner in the firm Hoff, Barry & Kuderer. She traveled all over the state handling personal injury claims on behalf of municipalities and nonprofits. Also during this time she represented individuals injured in automobile accidents, by drunk drivers, or in slip and falls, in addition to handling employment discrimination cases. Her work afforded her frequent opportunities to argue before the Appellate and Supreme Courts of Minnesota. Patricia was also a city attorney for many years where she became well-versed in Minnesota’s public records law, an area she continues to practice in today. She understood early on the value of government transparency and found the governmental agencies that worked best practiced that same ideal.
Since moving to Seattle in 1999, Patricia has limited her practice to plaintiff’s personal injury, plaintiff’s employment discrimination and contracts cases, and public records work. She recently successfully handled the very first case under Minnesota’s new expedited public records procedure, securing the sought-after records and an award for the maximum amount of attorney’s fees recoverable for her client.
Patricia is a 1986 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and a 1982 graduate of the University of Minnesota. She is admitted in the state and federal courts for Minnesota and Washington, and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ). She is also a member of WSAJ’s Moderate Means Program which aims to help low- and middle-income individuals access the legal system.
Patricia has worked for or served on the boards of several nonprofits, including the William Mitchell Law School Board of Alumni, Minnesota International Health Volunteers, The Peace Alliance and Virtue’s Children Nepal.
